Christmas gift guide for foodies

I for one cannot believe how close Christmas is! It feels like only yesterday us bloggers were uploading posts on summer holidays, what to eat and drink in the warm weather and best pub gardens.

But here we are once again which means it’s also that time of year to roll out the Christmas gift guides. I’ve been sharing my ideas for xmas pressies for a few years now, and this year’s is a fab collection of suggestions (even if I do say so myself).

Root 7 Dipped mug and plate – RRP £14

I’ve featured Root7 a few times on my blog, as I love the range of stunning drinking products they offer. This hand-finished, high-grade ceramic mug and saucer (called a plate in Root7’s description) is inspired by 1980s Memphis design movement, and will add a touch of class and colour to your home. You can buy solo, in sets of two, four or six.

Ombre Mugs – RRP £9

Also from Root 7, these appeared on my list last year, but they are so beaut I couldn’t resist including them again. I have these at home and get so many compliments on them. My favourite is the vibrant flamingo colour, but if you can’t choose between them then you can get a beautifully presented boxed set of all three for £27.

Homemade Gin Kit – RRP £49.99

The Homemade Gin Kit gives you all of the equipment needed to create your own unique blend of gin in 36 hours. The only thing you need to add is vodka (just a supermarket own brand will work fine). A fab gift for anyone who enjoys crafting their own bespoke drinks or the gin-lover in your life. Make sure you buy the full kit and not the refill kit, this is the second stage when all you need is to replace the botanicals.

Real Wine Gums – RRP £7.49

These grown-up wine gums are a perfect gift for those who like a tipple and have a sweet tooth. Available in four flavours, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling and Rosé (which would be my first choice).

Microwave popcorn maker – RRP £10.95

For those of us who love the comfort of our own settees while we watch films, you can bring a piece of the cinema to your home with this cute microwave popcorn maker. You add kernels to the tub, replace the lid and pop in the microwave for 3 minutes. With no need to add butter or oil this is a healthy way to get your snack-fix. Also perfect for those Netflix binge nights-in.

USB Rechargeable bottle light – RRP £12.99

A fab and fun way to upcycle your empties, this small light fits like a bottle stopper and creates a table or decorative light. You can switch between seven colours, and a single charge gives you up to three hours of bright LED light.

No Probllama mug – £7.99

I know it’s another mug but surely you can never have enough! This super cute mug is ideal for anyone who has embraced this year’s llama trend, or loves these delightful animals. The no probllama slogan is good fun and sure to make most people smile when they’re supping their beverage of choice.

Hopefully that has given you some great ideas for the food-lovers on your Christmas gift list this year. Do let me know if this list has helped you out! You can also check out my ideas for gifts for toddlers.
