Summer dishes from Quorn
I’m always on the lookout for new ways to integrate plant-based options into my meal planning. Quorn is one of my go to brands. So it’s exciting to see they have so many new options for summer.
Quorn have introduced two new yummy flavours of mini fillets in their deli range. These are fajita and tikka – and not only are they very tasty, they are very versatile. You can enjoy them hot or cold, and it’s good to know they are high in protein. Yet they are low in saturated fat and a good source of fibre. This makes them a great addition to meals and maintaining a healthy diet.
For those of you who want or need to be plant-based, Quorn has been improving some its classic tastes too. Their much-loved Cocktail Sausages now have an even tastier recipe, making them ideal for yummy summer picnics or nibbles.
My personal current favourite in the Quorn range are the Southern Fried Bites. The coating is delicious; really crunchy and peppery but not overpowering. I love them in a wrap or as part of a meal with fries and salad.
Quorn have also created a fantastic range of summer recipes, including this Buffalo Wings with Ranch Dipping Sauce.
You will need:
For the dip
- 50g coconut yoghurt
- 1 tsp. tomato sauce
- ½ tsp. lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
To garnish
- Coriander leaves
- 4 wedges of lime
What to do:
- Cook the Quorn Southern Fried Bites as per pack instructions.
- To make the dip, place all of the ingredients into a bowl, mix well and spoon into a dip serving bowl.
- To serve, place the Southern Fried Bites onto a serving platter and garnish with fresh coriander leaves. Serve with the prepared dip and wedges of lime.
This is such a beautifully simple, yet incredibly scrumptious recipe. Quorn have really upped their game this summer and I’m certainly making the most of it.
