Christmas gift guide for toddlers
It’s becoming quite a tradition that I publish a Christmas gift guide for toddlers including only wooden toys. It’s even more fitting this year, because my blog has certainly been more reflective of my conscious effort to be more sustainable. These gift ideas are from my daughter’s favourite toy brand, Hape, who sell beautifully made toys from sustainable wood.
Prices are currently retail prices, and most items on this list can be bought online. I’ve included links where I can. However, these are not at the request of Hape. Some of these are affiliate links. Hope they are helpful :o)
Four-Stage Rocket – £60
This is an uber-cool alternative to a dolls house. Four levels of space fun, with interactive elements and loads to engage with. We already have this wrapped for our daughter for Christmas! Here’s my full review on it.
Solar powered train circuit – RRP £37

This futuristic circuit includes a train which has its own solar panel to generate enough electricity to power its lights. Adding to the joy of owning this delightful train set is empowering your little ones to understand about renewable technologies.
Smoothie Blender – £23*

Press the button on this blender to create a realistic spin motion. It comes with five different ingredients for the blender, including baby spinach (very on-trend). Little ones can then use the cups and straws to serve up a fresh smoothie. NB: this is half wooden, half plastic.
Science experiment toolbox – £36

This engaging and educational junior inventor toolbox contains a world of fun. Ideal for children aged four and over, there are enough contents to carry out six ix exciting experiments that will teach them about science and inventing.
Pop up shop – £60

This fold-away wooden shop features lots of storage shelves and fun features. It includes a handheld scanner that beeps and flashes when you press the button on its back. There’s a calculator to add up the price of customer purchases and there’s even a card machine (very 21st Century).
Cooking essentials – £22

Little ones will love this cooking essentials kit. They can play at helping with dinner by trimming, peeling and chopping the vegetables and grating the cheese on your own cutting board. The ingredients separate from one another which adds a lovely sense of realism to the play.
Chef set – £19*

So this obviously isn’t a wooden toy but it’s a cute addition to the Hape range. It is perfect for budding chefs, including a hat, an apron, an oven glove and a pot holder. It also comes with spoons and other cooking accessories.
Hopefully there is some inspiration on this Christmas gift guide for toddlers for the little ones in your life. Hape toys bring a lot of joy to our family and I’m sure you will find something right for you too. Comment with any questions, I know loads about the brand as we have quite a few of their toys in our collection!
