It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Although that is not hard this year is it 😊
For this year’s gift guide I have split into the three sections I focus on in my blog; food, toddlers and self-care. Many of the gift ideas also have a sustainability element, which is really important to me.
Where possible I have included links for those who want to shop online from my list.
Ion water bottles are great. They are leak proof, BPA free and incredibly stylish. When we are all doing our best to reduce plastic-usage, these make perfect gifts. You can never have enough reusable water bottles in my opinion.
This is one of those brilliant ideas that make you wonder why no-one did it sooner. You choose a personalised cookbook that not only has the recipients name on it, you can pick recipes that you know they will like from the 300+ plus available. There are options for veggies and vegans too.
I’ve been a big fan of Tom Savano cocktails ever since their launch for Christmas 2019. They produce top quality ready mixed cocktails. For this Christmas they are selling the hamper to beat all hampers. Not only does it contain a multitude of chocolate delights, as well as Tom Savano cocktails, savoury snacks and botanical gins, all profits will be given to charity, in aid of feeding families in need this Christmas. As if I needed any more reason to love Tom Savano 🙂
Who doesn’t love Pick N Mix? Panda Sweets is an online treasure trove of retro sweets that will transport you back to your childhood. Choose from gummies, marshmallows, chocolates; essentially anything you fancy. Their hampers and Pick N Mix gift boxes would be a great choice for those in your life with a sweet tooth. You can add a message too.
How unbelievably cute (and delicious) do these look? As it a doughnut wasn’t a great enough gift on it’s own, now you can combine it with a festive favourite the gingerbread man. For an extra bonus point these Biscoff spread filled doughnuts are completely vegan. You can also choose other boxes of 6 festive doughnuts and a DIY gingerbread doughman kit if you fancy adding your own flair.
6 pack Doughmen or mixed selection including delivery, £26; DIY kit £24
This relatively new venture offers fine food dining delivered to your door. In a time when we can’t or don’t want to go out, a touch of luxury on our own dinner table sounds fabulous. You can buy gift vouchers so your food loving recipient can indulge in whatever takes their fancy.
Add flower petals and other small nature finds into the top compartment to create a stunning, one of a kind, kaleidoscopic view! This is one of the many fab products offered by Kikkerland, a design led company that offers gifts, gadgets and tech.
Most little ones I know love a good messy play session. This fantastic pack from Zimpli Kids combines squidgy Gelli and a set of dinosaurs and trees to squelch their way through the goo. It is so easy to set up and provides hours of fun.
Dantoy’s Bioplastic Range is made of at least 90% sugarcane, a sustainable raw material, and it is 100% recyclable. This dinner set is a lot of fun for playtime, and you can feel good about reducing your impact on the environment.
Geomag are magnetic cubes that are a great introduction to puzzles for little hands. Suitable from 18 months, these 4 magnetic cubes twist and turn to make six different fruits – apples, cherries, pear, grapes, banana and a strawberry.
Fruit set around £10, prices upwards for bigger sets
Brand new for Christmas 2020 is the Tie dye Together kit. It gives you everything you need for up to 60 tie dye projects. The idea behind it is to have fun, crafty activities with your little ones, so it includes well thought-out supplies such as child size gloves. The kit is recommended for age 3 and upwards.
This is another lovely item from Kikkerland. The suction cup sticks to a window and spreads rainbow joy throughout the day. The cleverly designed solar panel will rotate the genuine Swarovski Crystal and refract light in all directions.
These positivity bands are such a cool idea. A stylish band on one side, flip it to get an uplifting message or a daily reminder. In a time when so many of us are struggling, this is a perfect way to remind someone you are there. Even if you can’t be in person.
The link takes you to the webshop where you can grab a half price band (£4 instead of £8) using the discount code provided.
When you’re feeling a bit blue, these cute lights will certainly raise a smile. Shaped like ivy, plug into a USB port and you can enjoy 10 feet of remote controlled string lights. Perfect for bedrooms, offices, hallways, or anywhere you want to add some magic sparkle.
I love the eco-credentials of Jana Reinhardt jewellery. All metals used in their handmade jewellery are from accredited suppliers that continually buy back and recycle scrap metal. This in turn create more environmentally friendly jewellery.
To raise awareness of animal welfare issues, Jana Reinhardt have just released a range of exclusive pieces. If you are against fox hunting, this fox themed necklace, earrings or ring are perfect. £10 from each one sold goes to Keep the Ban, a campaign set up to stop the hunting act repeal.
Prices start from £149 for the necklace and ring, and £69 for the earrings
For many of us, a relaxing bath can be very restorative. If sustainability and natural ingredients is important to you, Holistic London is a great choice. These lavender, neroli and chamomile bath salts not only smell glorious, they are designed to help cleanse your body and mind.
For the old-school gamer in your life you will give them the gift of time well spent with this 2 player retro arcade machine. It includes over 300 super 8-Bit games on a 4.3 inch Super 8-Bit LCD screen with 2 removable wireless controllers. You can also connect directly to your TV with the use of an AV cable.
Tropic has been one of my best finds from 2020. And their Christmas gifts are divine. Top picks are the Cocoon Me Joy Drum, which is perfect when you are in need of a soothing, silent moment, and the Dream Team. This set of sleepy treats offers three sleep-inducing products to help get you into a deep slumber.
Joy Drum Cocoon Me, £25, Dream Team (not pictured) £22
