The World Foods Range from Typhoon
I think most of us will recognise the brand Typhoon. I know I certainly remember it from my parents’ kitchenware selection! And now I have my own home and family, I love making nostalgic choices. And of course, using brands I know and trust.
Typhoon may be a heritage brand, but its designs are chic and modern. One of my favourite collections is their World Foods range. This product family encompasses specialist cook and serveware for those who love to experiment with global cuisine.
From tapas dishes to pizza plates, serving platters and even coasters and placemats, this range offers some beautiful pieces. The aqua tapas dishes are firmly on my wish list when I have my new kitchen.

For now, with not many fancy dinners planned while we are about to begin a big house renovation, I’m all about the cookware. I love wok cooking. I use my wok for all manner of dishes – tempura, stir fries, curries and even fajitas. It is my go to item in the kitchen.
Typhoon World Foods Wok
The Typhoon World Foods wok is a dream to cook with. I have the 31cm version which is a perfect size; a 28cm version is available too. The non-stick is superb.

The carbon steel body conducts heat quickly and evenly. This is not just marketing-hype, it really is true. The heat is distributed around the wok, reducing the risk of part of a dish being over or undercooked.
The wooden handle is great as it doesn’t get too hot to touch. It is comfortable to grip as well. And it’s attached firmly which is a bonus. So many of the handles on my existing pans are wobbly!

The only thing to note is that the wok is not dishwasher safe. Personally, this is not an issue for me. I tend to wash my woks by hand anyway. Firstly, I can then be gentle on the coating. And secondly, they take up a lot of space in the dishwasher.
The range is so lovely I can’t wait to buy more pieces for my kitchen. In the meantime I will enjoy using my wok all of the yummy (and easy!) recipes I love creating.
You can shop the World Foods range on the Typhoon website. Delivery is free when you spend over £35.
