Healthy snacking with Nims
I’ve been making an increased effort to buy food and drink from sustainable and eco-friendly brands. As part of this, I’ve come across some fab (and tasty of course) products. My latest discovery is Nim’s, who make fruit and vegetable crisps. I love snacks, so I am always up for trying something new!
Healthy way to snack
Nim’s fruit and vegetable crisps are air-dried, so a great snack if you are trying to be a bit healthier. This is shown by the fact they only have 32-78 calories per pack and only use just ingredient in each variety. What a brilliant idea to make sure you know exactly what you are eating. I was sent some of their new apple crisps to try out, and was excited to give them a whirl.
The first thing that struck me is that they use the whole apple. Yep, core, pips and skin. This isn’t something I’ve seen before, and it’s certainly impressive that they don’t waste any of the fruit. I loved the flavour but found the texture a bit unusual at first. I persevered and demolished the bag pretty quickly, so it’s safe to say it’s a thumbs up!
They are different from other fruit crisps I’ve tried but I would definitely say stick with it and you’ll enjoy them. They also do a kids range. As a mum, I love that Nim’s offers something so healthy while being convenient (we all need a helping hand sometimes!).

Nutritional benefits
The air-drying process means much of the nutritional content of the fruit and veg is retained. So they are a great way to up your intake of fibre and vitamin C. Nim’s packs also count as one of the five a day – brilliant! I will definitely keep some packs around for those ‘in-between shopping’ days where our fresh fruit and veg supply has depleted to zero.
And for those with a plant-based diet they are vegan.
You can buy Nim’s from their online shop or from local stockists such as farm shops and delis.
You can read more about diet and depression in this helpful blog post.

I was sent some products free of charge for the purposes of this review. As always, the provision of complimentary products does not influence my views which remain honest and my own.
